Get ready for a funky acid journey to outer edges of the cosmos and back again. Dr. Rek performed this unique live recording on August 2nd, 2013 in Oakland, California. Never to be heard again, until now. No laptops, no software, no DJing; arranged and mixed down on hardware synths, drum machines and effects. Featuring rare instruments handmade by the Doctor: a x0xb0x tb-303 bass synth clone, benjolin synth, and GetLoFi distortion, as well as a vintage Roland MC-202 synth and elektron machinedrum with tr-808 samples.

“Remember when Pluto emerged from Mars and got married to Venus? Or how about when all the dinosaurs started learning Japanese and French? These weren't random occurrences in the universe; these were aftershocks of a galactic Doctor who has been identified as "Rek". Sometime before the Rave-Cosmos were formed, Dr. Rek, known for his vibrant orange fur and sweet high fives had a vision; a vision that went through the atmosphere of the mind and into the next dimension. Dr. Rek felt the galaxy was missing something groovy, something wobbly, something… super dope. What went down in his lab was beyond magic, comprehension and all psychokinetically hype forms of logic. As a result "Cosmosurdity" was born!”
